OMG I HAVE A HEADER.

All I can say is What. The. FUCK.

You see, I thought dA was having coding issues, because this happened to me yesterday with it switching to v6 for .5 seconds, then after hitting refresh a few thousands times, then decided to wait 10 minutes and come back, the old dA is back up and running.

But no, OHHHHHH no, this is FULL ON people. I can only imagine the stamps that will be pumped out in the next 24 hours.

Now I'm going to rant about a couple things I don't like.

1.) The front page:

Honestly now, I don't really give a fuck about the newest shitty noob drawings or unnecessary myspace-esque pictures of emo 14 year olds, it was good enough showing 4 on the front page at a time. But I nearly died because my browsing is set at 120. LIKE I WANNA LOOK AT THAT MANY NEW DEVIATIONS SUBMITTED WITHIN THE LAST 3 MINUTES. I feel bad for the people who have poor processing and dial-up. And the other thing, where the FUCK did the popular deviations go? Oh, they hid them. And the prints? Completely off the front page. Daily deviations? At the VERY bottom, which is a long way down for us 120-browsing users.

2.) Messages, or Watch Box, or Message Box...WHATEVER the fuck that thing's called:

I feel like I'm looking at my email account. And everything's smashed together, so I confuse journals and deviations and polls like it's nobody's business. And this is going to make reading comics and doujins a pain in the ANUS because it isn't separated by deviant anymore. And it shows like, 4 deviations at a time? OH-kay. I shudder to think what it'll be like when my subscription expires.

3.) Browsing:

I can search journals and chats now, because I've ALWAYS wanted to do that.
NAHT.
EDIT: Okay, I'll give them the journal search because it's fun to see how many people are bitching about the new layout.


So, stepping back and evaluating the new upgrade from an adult point of view, cuz I won't lie, I just 2 year old temper tantrumed up there, I can see where dA thought some of these changes would be better. Obviously we all have to get used to change, because life does that, but if you ever talked to my mother about how I handle change, I hate with an ugly passion. If we move the furniture in our house I get angry LOL. But an appealing new design, though they shrunk their logo, what I would assume to be easier search functions, all around a little more convenient, but does that mean I like it? HELL NAW.

I can honestly bitch and groan about how much I hate v6, and I really do, but this won't provoke me to the point where I say Adios! to dA. But this website is THE best art sharing website on the internet at present. Not only can you show your take on art to the world and get feedback on how to mold yourself a masterpiece, but it has the best international connections ever for the average computer user. I watch `gilad who lives in Israel and is one of the best photographers on this site. I watch =karil from Finland and he has the best nature shots I've ever seen. And I even have a very good friend ~Yergany (go check out his stuff ) who I've talked to more about life problems than some of my closest friends where I live, and he's in BRAZIL. dA really has the best connections.

But I'll say this, deviantART, there's a good something-million people who already hate this design and there's going to be a WAR I tell you.
